Get started in the web app
Your account was created when you ordered. When the dongle is on your Wi-Fi, you log in and link the dongle to the account. GridZeno then reads most of your system by itself, and you fill in the rest.
Log in for the first time
With your username from the order and the dongle's number as the password.
- 1Find the dongle's number
It's on the label on the dongle, e.g. GZ-C596E2.
- 2Open the web app
Go to GridZeno, and press Log in. You can choose the language at the top right.
- 3Enter your username
In the field E-mail or username you enter the username you chose when you ordered. You can also use the e-mail you ordered with.
- 4Enter the dongle's number as the password

- 5Tick Remember me
If you want to stay logged in on that computer or phone for 30 days. Don't do it on a computer that others also use.
- 6Press Log in
The first time, a short tour starts that shows you around. Press Show me around, or Not now.
Choose your own password
The dongle's number is on the dongle itself, so it isn't a secret code.
As long as you log in with the dongle's number, there's a warning at the top under Profile: Your password is still the dongle's number.
- 1Press Choose password in the warning
Or go to Profile, and press Change next to Password.
- 2Enter the current one
It's the dongle's number, e.g. GZ-C596E2.
- 3Enter the new one twice
At least 10 characters, a capital letter and a special character. The requirements get a tick as you type.
- 4Press Change password
You get a confirmation by e-mail. From then on, you log in with your username or your e-mail and the new password.
If you want to be completely sure, you can also turn on two-step login under Profile. See Two-step login.
Pair the dongle
You link the dongle to your account with its number. Your password never goes into the dongle.
If you don't have a system yet, it says Connect your dongle first, so your system is created on the pages that need a system. The button Connect your dongle leads to the Dongle page.
- 1Go to Dongle
Under Settings in the menu. The card is called Connect your dongle.
- 2Enter the dongle's number
It's on the label, e.g. GZ-A1B2C3. Capital or small letters make no difference.
- 3Press Pair the dongle
The dongle must be at the inverter, powered and on your Wi-Fi. When it says The dongle is paired. Your system has been created., you're up and running.
- The dongle wasn't found
- Check the number, and that the dongle is powered and on your Wi-Fi. If it has only just come online, try again in a minute.
- The dongle is already paired with an account
- The dongle belongs to another account. Write to us, and we'll help.
- That dongle has been sent to another customer
- A dongle from our shop can only be linked to the account it was sent to. Check the number on your own dongle.
Your subscription starts when the dongle is paired. The first month is charged then.
Your system has been found
GridZeno asks your system instead of asking you to type it in.
As soon as the dongle is paired, it reads the inverter's model, power and firmware, the battery's capacity and modules, and the inverter's own sale limit. You find it all under System in the menu. Check that it's the right system.
The dongle reads the system again every 6 hours, so an extra battery or a new inverter is detected by itself. See System.
Location and panels
The address and orientation of your panels. The solar forecast is based on them.
At the bottom of the page System is the card Location and panels. Choose the address, and fill in orientation, tilt and power for each roof surface. How to do it's shown step by step in Location and panels.
Grid company and electricity contract
What makes the prices on the screen your own.
Under Grid company and electricity contract you choose the price area, grid company, your electricity contract and the buyer of your surplus power. Without a grid company, GridZeno can only show the spot price. See Grid company and electricity contract.
Home equipment
The household, the electric car, the heat pump and other things that use a lot of power.
Under Home equipment you enter how many of you live there, the size of your home and the equipment you have. It helps the consumption forecast until GridZeno has measured your consumption for a couple of weeks. See Home equipment.
Who controls the system?
The last choice before GridZeno gets going. Requires Smart or Pro.
Under Automatic you choose whether GridZeno or you yourself is in control. If it's set to Yourself, the plan is calculated and shown, but the dongle changes nothing on the inverter. It's a good way to start: look at the plan for a few days, and choose GridZeno, when you can see that it does what you would have done yourself. See Make your plan.
The charts start on the day the dongle was plugged in. The dongle can't fetch measurements from before it came online. The plan for the next hours is ready shortly after pairing, and the forecast gets better over the first weeks.
