It is a promise we make on top of the law, not instead of it. Your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal applies no matter what, and it can neither be shortened nor waived by agreement.

What you buy
GridZeno Dongle plugs into your inverter's communication port (RS485) and connects to the internet via Wi-Fi or cable. It needs power from a 5 V USB supply, which is not included but can be bought as an accessory. See the dongle page.
The subscription is a digital service. GridZeno makes a plan for your system based on electricity prices, weather forecasts and your consumption, and the dongle carries out the plan at your home. Light is free and gives an overview and recommendations. Smart and Pro control the system automatically. What each plan includes is shown in the price overview.
You decide yourself whether GridZeno may control the system (Automatic) or only show the plan (Manual), and you can switch at any time. Your limits for the battery's state of charge are written into the inverter itself.
What you need
- An inverter that GridZeno supports. Which models and which firmware work, and what can be controlled on each, is listed on the compatibility page. Check it before you buy.
- Internet for the dongle and a GridZeno account. Without internet, the dongle does not fetch a new plan. It follows the plan it has, or lets the inverter run on its own settings, depending on what you have chosen under Automatic.
- Smart or Pro, if GridZeno is to control the system automatically.
The dongle only accepts plans and updates signed by us. Everything else is rejected before it reaches your inverter.
We cannot promise a particular saving. It depends on electricity prices, the weather, your consumption and your system, and the plan is based on forecasts that can be wrong.

How to order
- Choose your package: subscription and any accessories.
- Account and delivery: your details, your username and how the parcel should reach you.
- Review and pay: you see the whole order, accept the terms and pay on Stripe's secure payment page.
You can go back and correct everything before you pay, and you can leave the order at any time. The agreement is concluded when you have approved the payment on Stripe's payment page. The ordering takes place in Danish.
We store your order. You get an order confirmation by e-mail with the order, the right of withdrawal and the standard withdrawal form. When we send the order, you get an e-mail with the invoice. You can always see your orders in GridZeno under Profile. You can save or print these terms from your browser.
When you order, we create your GridZeno account with the username you choose. The first time, you log in with the dongle's number, which is printed on the dongle. Then choose your own password.
Payment
You pay by card on Stripe's secure payment page. Kan-El never sees or stores your card details. When you order, the amount for the dongle, shipping and any accessories is reserved on your card. We only charge it when we send the order, and on the same day you get the invoice by e-mail.
If we do not send within the reservation's lifetime, typically 7 days from the order, for example because an item is out of stock, the reservation disappears from your account, and we instead charge the amount to the card you ordered with on the day we send the order. The card is stored with Stripe for this. If the payment does not go through, we contact you before anything is sent.
If you have chosen Smart or Pro, the card is stored with Stripe, and the first month is charged when your dongle is connected to your system. After that, the subscription is charged on the same date every month. You get the first invoice by e-mail, and you can download all invoices in GridZeno under Profile.
If a payment does not go through, you get an e-mail with a link so you can pay, and you have 5 days to pay or change card. If you change card, we charge the payment to the new card immediately. If the month has not been paid after the 5 days, the subscription stops, that month is not charged, and your account continues on Light.
Delivery
- Delivery area
- Only Danmark. We ship with PostNord to a parcel shop or parcel locker or to your door. You choose when you order
- Delivery time
- Typically 2-7 working days from a paid order, and no later than 30 days after
If you choose delivery to your door, PostNord leaves the parcel at the door if you are not at home. You accept this when you choose that delivery method. When PostNord has left the parcel at the door, it has been delivered, and after that it is your responsibility if it is lost or damaged.
The dongle is delivered without a power supply and cables. They can be bought as accessories in the same order.
The subscription
- Start
- The day your dongle is connected to your system
- Minimum term
- 1 month for Smart and Pro. Light is free
- Renewal
- Automatically month by month, on the same date, until you cancel it
- Cancellation
- At any time, with effect from the end of the month you have paid for, and at the earliest when the minimum term has ended
You cancel it yourself under Subscription in GridZeno by choosing Light, or by writing to us. Your account continues on Light, which is free. Read more about cancellation.
If you switch to a more expensive plan, we immediately charge your card the difference for the rest of the month you have paid for, and the new plan applies as soon as the payment has gone through. If the payment does not go through, you keep your current plan. From your next payment date you pay the new plan's price. If you start a paid subscription from Light, you pay the first month immediately, and the plan applies when the payment has gone through.
If you switch to a cheaper plan, it applies from the end of the month you have paid for. Until then you keep your current plan, and nothing is refunded for the rest of the month.
Changes to the price
If we change the price of your subscription, you are notified by e-mail at least 1 month before the new price applies. If you do not want to pay it, you can cancel the subscription before it takes effect, also during the minimum term.
Changes to GridZeno
We develop GridZeno continuously and may change and improve the service at no extra charge when there is a good reason, for example new features, security or changes at inverter manufacturers, in the electricity market or at our suppliers. If a change makes GridZeno more than slightly worse for you, you will be notified well in advance. You can then cancel the subscription at no cost within 30 days of the notice or the change, whichever comes later.
Withdrawal
You have a 14-day right of withdrawal. For the dongle, it runs from the day you receive it. On top of that, we give 100 days of free returns on the dongle, counted from the day you activate the dongle, and we pay the return shipping. Read about withdrawal and returns.
You withdraw using the function Withdraw from a contract, which you find at the bottom of every page. It does not require you to log in, and you get a receipt by e-mail. You can also withdraw from your profile in GridZeno, write to us or use the standard withdrawal form.
You can withdraw from the subscription for 14 days from the day it starts. When you connect the dongle, you ask us to start it immediately. If you then withdraw within the 14 days, you pay for the days you have had it and get the rest of the month refunded.
Defects and support
You have a 2-year right to complain about defects in the dongle under the Danish Sale of Goods Act (købeloven). If there is a defect that was there from the start, we repair or replace the dongle. If that is not possible, you can get a price reduction or cancel the purchase. Let us know within a reasonable time after you have discovered the defect. Within 2 months is always in time.
For the subscription, the Sale of Goods Act's rules on digital services apply for as long as you have it: GridZeno must work as promised, and we provide the updates needed for that.
You get help by e-mail, by phone and with the support button. The right of return of 100 days is a voluntary promise on top of your rights under the law, not instead of them.
Liability
We are liable under the general rules of Danish law. As written above, we do not promise a particular saving, because it depends on electricity prices, weather and consumption.
Complaints
If you are unhappy, write to us first, and we will find a solution together. If we cannot agree, you can complain to Nævnenes Hus (the Danish appeals boards). The Mediation Team for Consumer Complaints (Mæglingsteamet for Forbrugerklager) first tries to mediate, and if that does not succeed, the case can go on to the Danish Consumer Complaints Board (Forbrugerklagenævnet). Amount limits and a small fee apply. You complain at naevneneshus.dk.
Your information and choice of law
How we process your personal data is described under privacy. The agreement is governed by Danish law, and the rules of consumer legislation always apply.
Accessibility
How the website and the app meet the accessibility requirements, and how you use them, is described on the page Accessibility.
