Only necessary cookies, and statistics if you say yes.
The first time you visit the website, we ask whether we may use statistics. You can say no as easily as yes, and the site works the same way whatever you choose. We do not use advertising pixels or external embeds.
What the website uses
| Name | Category | Purpose | Type | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| gz_samtykke | Necessary | Remembers what you have chosen about cookies, and when, with a random number for your choice. The number and the choice are also stored with us, so we can document your consent. | Cookie | 12 months | GridZeno (Kan-El) |
| gz_market | Necessary | Remembers the country and the language you chose yourself on gridzeno.com, so you go straight there next time. Only set when you choose a country or a language. | Cookie | 12 months | GridZeno (Kan-El) |
| Umami | Statistics | Counts visits: which pages are seen, for how long and how far they're read, which buttons are pressed and how far an order gets, as well as language, screen size, country and which page referred you. Without an identifier that can follow you from day to day. | Script, sets no cookies | Stores nothing on your device | GridZeno (Kan-El), on our own server |
Your choice
Necessary cookies are always used, because otherwise the website cannot remember your choice. Everything else is only used if you have said yes to that category, and nothing is switched on in advance. We store your choice and its date in the cookie gz_samtykke for 12 months. After that we ask again, both if you said yes and if you said no. If we change the purpose of a category, we also ask again.
The cookie also contains a random number. The same number, your choice, the time and which version of the cookie choice you saw are stored with us so we can document your consent, as the rules require. We do not store your IP address or your browser with it. The number is shown in Cookie settings if you want to ask us about your choice. See Privacy for how long we keep it.
You withdraw a yes as easily as you gave it: press Cookie settings at the bottom of the page and switch the category off. The page reloads, so what you have said no to stops immediately.
Statistics
For statistics we use Umami, which runs on our own server. It sets no cookies and does not write to localStorage or sessionStorage. It sends the page you are looking at, how long it is shown on the screen and how far you read it, which buttons you press and how far an order gets, together with your browser's language and screen size and which page referred you here. No identifier is included that could follow you from day to day. Because it reads information from your browser, we only use it with your consent. Read more about the purpose under Privacy.
What the website does not otherwise store
Apart from your cookie choice, the website's own code sets no cookies and uses neither localStorage, sessionStorage nor any other persistent browser storage. Choices in the product overview, the compatibility view and form drafts are only held in the open page's memory. A reload resets them. The same applies to the demo of the app: what you change in it is gone when you close it.
In the web app
The web app, where you log in and follow your system, uses one cookie. The key the page fetches your data with is only held in the page's memory and is gone when you close the tab.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| gz_session | Keeps you logged in. Without “Remember me” it disappears when you close the browser. With “Remember me” it remembers you for 30 days, and the 30 days start again each time you use the web app. | Cookie that the page's scripts cannot read | Until the browser is closed, or 30 days with “Remember me” |
| Push subscription | Only if you turn on push on the device. The browser stores the address our messages are sent to, and a small script that shows them, even when the page is closed. | The browser's push storage | Until you turn off push or clear the browser's data |
In the app for iPhone and Android
The app uses no cookies. What it needs to remember is kept in the phone's secure storage: Keychain on iPhone and Keystore on Android.
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Login | Keeps you logged in, so you do not have to log in every time. If you do not use the app for 14 days, you have to log in again. | The phone's secure storage | Until you log out |
| Selected system | Remembers which system you last looked at, if you have more than one. | The phone's secure storage | Until you delete the app |
| Push token | Only if you turn on push. The address our messages are sent to. It is also sent to us, and when you log out, we remove it from our list. | The phone's secure storage | Until you turn off push or delete the app |
The messages are delivered through the phone's own push service, Google's on Android and Apple's on iPhone, which itself stores an ID on the phone to be able to deliver them.
Without statistics and without consent
Neither the web app nor the app uses statistics, advertising IDs or tracking. What they store is necessary to deliver what you have asked for yourself, for example being logged in or getting push notifications. That is why we do not ask for consent to it. You turn push on and off in the app and in the phone's or browser's settings.
What about links and e-mail?
Ordinary links to external sites only load their content when you follow the link. The site you visit may have other rules for cookies. An e-mail link opens your e-mail app and does not send a message automatically.
If we add new features
If, for example, ad measurement is added, it will become a new category in the cookie choice, which you must say yes to before it is used. It will also be listed in the table above.
The rules and supervision
The rules are set out in the Danish Cookie Order (cookiebekendtgørelsen), which is based on the EU ePrivacy Directive. They apply to everything a website or app stores on or reads from your computer, phone or browser, not just cookies.
The starting point is that it may only happen when you have said yes after being told what it is used for and who is behind it (§ 3). A yes must be voluntary and active, and you must be able to withdraw it as easily as you gave it. Exempt is what is technically necessary to deliver what you have asked for yourself (§ 4). That is why we use gz_samtykke, the login cookie in the web app and the app's storage without asking, while the statistics require your yes.
The Danish Agency for Digital Government (Digitaliseringsstyrelsen) supervises the cookie rules. If personal data is processed, the General Data Protection Regulation also applies, and the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet) supervises that. If you believe that we process your information incorrectly, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency.
Technical information during visits
Even without cookies, the server sees some information. Among other things, the browser uses IP addresses to fetch the page. See the privacy page for a description of website visits and the operational information that must be completed before launch.
