Through the Ai-Logger, GridZeno can read the inverter and limit its output, but not control the battery.

The battery

The Ai-Logger gives no access to the battery. If you want the battery controlled, the dongle must be connected directly to the inverter with an RS485 cable.

Stop selling at negative prices

The inverter's output is set quarter by quarter by the selling price, but only where the installer has turned the limit on. Solplanet's limit applies to the inverter's whole output, not just the sale to the grid. The dongle sets the installer's value back afterwards.

Older Ai-Logger

Here the dongle uses the logger's own limit. It applies to all inverters on the logger, and grid and consumption aren't shown.

Manual

When the control is on Manual, the dongle changes nothing on the inverter. It reads, and if GridZeno has changed something, it puts the inverter's own settings back, including your own charge limits.

The model name in input 1018-1025 starts with ASW or SOL, and the model code 11-16 in 31073 is a hybrid.

The Ai-Logger's software

From 006R the logger answers with the inverter's own RS485 address, and the export limit is controlled through the inverter's 45403. A logger with 003R-005R answers on unit 239 with a block of 390 registers per COM port, and the dongle then uses the logger's own limit in 60003, which applies to every inverter on the logger.

The battery

The logger gives no access to the battery's registers.

What the dongle allows for

• The logger wants traffic every 1-3 seconds, so the dongle asks every second. After a closed connection, the dongle waits 5 seconds.
• The logger takes only one client at a time.
• The logger's own limit in 60003 is written again every 10 minutes.

How it differs from its neighbours

• Solplanet hybrid with RS485 cable: With an RS485 cable straight to the inverter, the dongle can control the battery.
• Solplanet ASW S-G2 and ASW LT: The grid inverters behind the Ai-Logger have the model code 1-5 and no battery.
