Deye SUN-M via Solarman with GridZeno.
A microinverter without a battery. GridZeno shows the solar production through the Solarman logger but can't control anything on it. Applies to SUN-M30-M225 G4 (microinverters).

How the inverter is controlled
The dongle reads the inverter and never writes anything to it.
- What GridZeno reads
- Solar production through the Solarman logger. Grid and consumption aren't shown.
- Battery
- None. The inverter is a grid inverter without a battery, so there's nothing to charge or sell from.
- Grid export
- Deye's protocol has no export limit on a microinverter, so GridZeno can't stop the sale.
What is special about the Deye SUN-M via Solarman
Holding 0 is 0x0400, Deye's microinverter. The dongle talks to it through the built-in logger on port 8899.
- The grid
- The dongle reads no meter on a microinverter, so grid and consumption are unknown.
- Limits
- Deye's register map has no export limit for it, and the power limit in register 40 isn't used.
- G4
- According to one user report, the SUN-M G4 uses the same map as the G3.
How it differs from its neighbours
- Deye via Solarman: A SUN-G grid inverter behind the Solarman logger can have a meter, which the dongle reads.
From the dongle's firmware and our notes on each inverter, not from the datasheet.
How to connect the dongle
Over your network, without a cable to the inverter. Approx. 15 minutes.
- Connection
- The built-in Wi-Fi logger (port 8899)
- Where
- Inside the microinverter, connected to your router over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, as when you use the Solarman or Deye Cloud app. The GridZeno dongle only needs power and a network.
