The dongle controls the battery by the plan and puts the inverter's own settings back afterwards.

Three-phase (HP3)

Deye's remote control. The dongle renews the command while the block lasts, and if the dongle stops, the inverter goes back by itself. On a firmware without remote control, the inverter's time-of-use program is used instead.

Single-phase (SG02LP1)

The inverter's time-of-use program. The dongle saves your own program and charge current and puts them back afterwards. Requires a lithium battery with a BMS.

Sell from the battery

Through the inverter's maximum sell power. With the time-of-use program and zero export turned on, the inverter only uses the battery for the house.

Stop selling at negative prices

The inverter's export limit is set quarter by quarter by the selling price, but only where the installer has turned export limiting on. GridZeno only lowers a limit that's already set and never turns it on or off.

Manual

When the control is on Manual, the dongle changes nothing on the inverter. It reads, and if GridZeno has changed something, it puts the inverter's own settings back, including your own charge limits.

Holding 0 is 0x0600, 0x0601 or 0x0602: Deye's three-phase hybrid for a high-voltage battery. The SG02LP1 hasn't been seen on a real unit yet; if it reports 0x0300, it's controlled as the single-phase LP1.

The units

The battery power, the sun, the highest selling power and the time-of-use program's power are in 10 W, and the battery voltage in 0.1 V.

More strings and batteries

PV5-8 are read in 727-730 when holding 22 says more than four MPPTs. A second battery is read in 589, 593 and 257, and the charge level is weighted by capacity.

Firmware

From the control board's firmware 1098, the counters in 514-535 are in whole kWh, not 0.1 kWh.

What the dongle allows for

• On a 20-50 kW HV unit the grid can read between 32768 and 65535 W. The dongle decides the sign from the energy balance.
• Without a fitting voltage from the battery's BMS, no capacity in kWh is reported.

How it differs from its neighbours

• Deye hybrid, three-phase (LP3): The low-voltage version LP3 uses the same registers and the same remote control, but the powers are in 1 W.

Where

In the connection compartment at the bottom of the inverter, behind the cover, in the row of RJ45 ports together with Meter, BMS and the parallel ports. On the larger models the ports aren't labelled in the drawing, so read the names on the circuit board. The cable is passed in through a cable gland in the bottom.

Check that your model is under SUN-5-50K-SG01HP3, SUN-25-125K-SG02HP3 and SUN-5-12K-SG02LP1, and that a battery is fitted if you want the battery controlled by the electricity price.
