SolaX X1-Smart G2 with GridZeno.
A grid inverter without a battery. GridZeno shows what it produces but can't control anything on it. Applies to X1-SMT-5K to 10K-G2 and 7KT to 10KT-G2.

How the inverter is controlled
The dongle reads the inverter and never writes anything to it.
- What GridZeno reads
- Solar production, and grid and consumption when there's an energy meter on the inverter.
- Battery
- None. The inverter is a grid inverter without a battery, so there's nothing to charge or sell from.
- Grid export
- SolaX' protocol has no export limit on this inverter, so GridZeno can't stop the sale.
What is special about the SolaX X1-Smart G2
The serial number starts with XST. The dongle reads it like the X1-Mini G4, with three MPPTs.
- Export limit
- None in SolaX' official maps, and all writes sit behind the password in 0x600.
- Rated power
- No table in any document, so it isn't read.
How it differs from its neighbours
- SolaX X1-Mini and X1-Boost G4: The X1-Mini and X1-Boost G4 are read the same way, but are connected in the RJ45 port COM/CT.
From the dongle's firmware and our notes on each inverter, not from the datasheet.
How to connect the dongle
Wires in the inverter's terminal plug. Approx. 30 minutes.
- Port
- COM/CT (terminal block C)
- Pin
- A at pin 13 (RS485 A), B at pin 14 (RS485 B), GND at pin 10 (GND)
- Where
- On the underside of the inverter, by the DONGLE port. The COM/CT connector from the accessory bag has two RJ45 parts, A and B, for energy meter and DRM, and a 20-pin terminal block, C. The dongle goes in the terminal block.
